You know, this is getting boring. Once again, I beat Gibster to the top of a mountain. He ran the Pike's Peak ascent today and there I was at 14,115 feet waiting for him. Jessica and I had a lovely drive to the summit in our rental car, by the way. Gibby completed the race, but there he was staggering at the finish line and needing oxygen. He looked more like an insect that had just been sprayed with DDT than an athlete. On the other hand, I enjoyed a celebratory banana beer after the race that we bought at SwirlWine in Manitou Springs. It was a pretty easy race for me, actually.
